You Wear It, I Don't!
Ana- Corina can pull off linen and chunky shoes where I could never do.
Somehow, wrinkled linen looks cool on her; not worn out or raggedy. Her chunky shoes always make a powerful statement.
I do not have linen in my closet.
I owned linen pants and tops when I was in my teens. I can tell you I always felt like the plastic bag in Kathy Perry’s firework’s song. I am sure I smelled pretty bad too given the amount of dry cleaning liquid and starch it would take to make it appear freshly pressed. I would stressed out all day long as every sitting made its mark. It was like I had been attacked.
Now, Chunky shoes? Not for me; either. By now you all know I have thin legs and pretty tinny ankles. The Bratz look is for dolls.
I love that Corina and I can hold our own and express our styles in different ways.
I love her linen and chunky shoes.
Corina – Viejas, have you ever come across the Who Wore it best? It shows pictures with captions of the percentage of people that like or dislike the look. Or the dos and don’ts pictures with the big red X on the don'ts? These magazine features show two people wearing the same outfit and you must wonder how the same outfit can look so different. Sometimes I think about those magazines' articles when I come across clothing that I would love to own and wear. However, if I did my picture would have the 0% like or the big red X on it.
I love Ana's baggy pants with bold designs, but if I wore them, my picture would be the one with the big red X on it or the 0% likes with the caption “remember the Good Year blimp”? The same goes for the bodycon dress in figure-hugging fabrics, beautiful on Ana, red X on me. By now you know I am too short and too curvy to feel comfortable in anything but an A-line style dress.
You do not have to wear it to love it!
