Tights and Trouser socks

Corina- I am not really into novelty socks although I do own a few pairs, gifted to me, which I wear occasionally for fun! What I like are patterned, textured and colorful tights and trouser socks. They complement or add that "extra" to any outfit. Stockings or trouser socks can be the statement piece to a simple ensemble, the funky touch to a classic outfit or the pop of color to a neutral attire. I wear mine during the winter months, mostly in dark hues, as a layer because of the chilly weather. However, this year I will be adding new ones to my spring wardrobe since bright colored stockings are one of the biggest trends for spring 2023. They can be worn in the same shade as your shoes, the same color as your bottom piece or in a monochromatic look.

Ana- The last time I wore color tights I was maybe 19? It never occurred to me to incorporate tights with designs or colors into my wardrobe; as I aged. In fact, traditional pantyhose-the ones I used to wear in the 80s to work- had all but disappeared in favor of the naked-legs look. Last December while staying at Corina's house for the holidays, she opened this drawer in her room. It is filled with patterned tights and multicolored socks.

She took me to an Italian store-in McLean Virginia- filled with tights and socks. Each tight was unique, beautiful, and looked sophisticated. I did not buy a pair then but came away with the name of the store. It is very rare at this age to discover something; but boy, did I ever rediscovered tights!
