The Never Boring VEST!

Ana - I have had a couple of vests in my closet in the past. I only have one left. I wear it with a pair of pinstripe linen "high waisted" pants. I know, right? Well, I use the vest to hide a high waisted pair of pants. If you have been reading our blog, you know I am not fond of high waisted pants because they do not suit my body type.
Back to this story. One morning - a few days ago - I was browsing an online store and voilá. There it was... a vest! Now, this one was a surprise because it looked like a polkadot vest; also not my favorite pattern but I was captivated. Maybe it reminded me of the candies I used to eat growing up. Maybe it was its plastic construction which makes it look more like an accessory. The thing is; I bought it, I wore it, and someone told me; very enthusiastically, "I like your vest. You look like Selena". So there you go viejas, I finally have polkadots in my closet and a new vest!
Corina - Some fashion trends never seem to fade but to continuously show up year after year and season after season either in new fabrics and patterns or with a new twist. The VEST, which we are seeing everywhere in 2022 is one of those always present trends for men and women. I wouldn't call the vest a favorite although I am known to wear a few variations of these trend. My preferred style is the traditional inspired men vest worn with pants or as part of a three piece suit. I also like the down puffer vest for winter and an unconventional style for a fun, funky weekend look.
Hola viejas, I love the puffy vest in the pic, it makes a dressy outfit casual. I've never been a fan of the vest but I might be inspired to try and make a pair of dressy pants more casual! Thanks for the idea.
