Sunglasses

Corina- Sunglasses or “sunnies” can be the perfect accessory to complete any outfit any time of year. With so many styles, shapes, and colors available these days, everyone is sure to find their perfect pair. One that not only makes a fashion statement, but also protects your eyes against UV rays. For years, I wore my shades for fun or because I wanted to sport the latest eyewear trend. In the last decade, I have been wearing sunglasses because I am now smarter about protecting my eyes, but mostly because I need them for driving. When I look for a pair, I make sure that the frames complement the shape of my face, are compatible with my prescription lenses, and that they are stylish and trendy. I only order one pair at a time since I do splurge on the nicest frames and the best prescription lenses I can afford. The downside to prescription sunglasses is that once the prescription changes, I cannot wear them any longer. On the upside, it is always fun to shop for new ones!

Ana- When it comes to sunglasses, I like them like John Lennon did; round. I have only a pair and they are a twist on Lennon's classic round sunglasses: The Ray Ban 3442 as seen in the magnified picture. I only use sunglasses to protect my eyes from the sun but like any fashionista; I look for a pair that sits well on my face and conveys my sense of style. I favor round shaped sunglasses because I have an oval face and the glasses help it look more symmetrical. I often find the right size in the children's section of the store.

Sunglasses can single handedly define one's sense of style. For instant, Anna Wintour; editor in chief of Vogue since 1988; is known for her iconic heavy black sunglasses. She once told Insider magazine she wore them all the time to"avoid people knowing what she is thinking about".

John Lennon; Elton John, Bono, Biggie Smalls, and Bob Dylan made sunglasses the trade mark of their style. No matter if you are like Elton and have over 250,000 pairs or like me who owns just one; sunglasses are not only good for you, they are a fashion staple.
