Oversize for Over the Hill?
Corina – for me oversize clothes are all about comfort, relaxation and casualness. They hang loosely and are roomy but with a great fit. I love to wear oversize shirts and sometimes jackets. I do stay away from oversize pants or skirts since I don’t want or need to add volume to my hips. Oversize shirts are extremely versatile and can be worn to go anywhere. I often wear mine as another layer on top of a tank top/camisole or loose as a tunic. I also like to tie them around my waist with a knot, especially in the summer and I do a front tuck when wearing them to the office (thank you Tan France for teaching us the French tuck). My favorite oversize shirts are white and made from cotton or linen.
Ana- Viejas, I do not know about you but I spent a lot of time in insta during the pandemic looking at fabulous clothing.
One day I saw this picture online, looked at the price, and decided to buy two of these dresses. I had always seen other women wear oversize-maxi dresses and I really liked the look.
When I received them after many weeks- as they were apparently coming from China in a ship right behind the ship that got caught in the Suez canal- I was not happy. These dresses had strings in the back that created a weird rushing and left me with two long "tails". Well; you know me. I really tried to work with the "tails", but after a few failed attempts, I just hung the dresses in the closets' graveyard section.
Then, Corina and I, blogged about wearing everything we had in our closet, so I knew I had to try again. Well viejas, I took them to my seamstress and asked her to turned the oversize dresses into oversize jumpsuits. I am excited planning how to style them for spring and summer.
