Memorable Style Moments
Corina - A memorable or best style moment is different for everyone, and it can be anything. An unforgettable piece of clothing or jewelry, a crazy fashion moment, an outfit in a fiery color, or an iconic dress. It can also change for each of us the same way style trends change year after year. I define my memorable style moments as a particular “look” that I can think about months or years later after I have worn it and feel no regrets. The type of outfit that makes me feel fabulous and confident repeatedly regardless of when or where I wear it. An item that I have owned for decades, and still like how it looks when I wear it. Some examples of my memorable style moments are when I wear:
The classic blazer and button-down shirt
Any combination of black and white
The choker or statement necklace
The dress that does not need accessorizing
The classic jean jacket or skirt
Ana- There are days when everything looks right. The hair is behaving, the clothes look like they were tailored to fit my body, my face looks luminous, I do not feel bloated... and I am usually wearing something a "little different". Those are my memorable style moments.
Stacey London has a video "Screw Age Appropriate". She says: "I am the person who used to say- that is not age appropriate- and now..."
I have been feeling a little bit like that lately. Like Stacey, I want to rebel and I want to make a statement. I have my own rules about what I wear, how I wear my hair, and what color I paint my nails. I do not want anyone telling me what I should or should not be wearing because of my age. So Viejas, cheers to the blue nails, the undercut pixie, the hammer pants, the plastic vests, and all other memorable style moments.
I have a special feeling of
courage when I wear Boots!!!
