Make it Shine

Ana- I tuned into the academy awards last weekend and it all came rushing back. Beading and sparkles were everywhere at the red carpet. Beading makes me feel luxurious. There is something regal about showing off the fine work that goes into creating a beading garment.

The little black sparkle I own has been with me for a long time. Since my body went through the 'great reshuffle' of fat to my stomach, I had not put on this dress. It was nice to wear it again-for this post- even if the fit is not what it used to be. My lesson from last week is this:

Viejas, if you own any beaded or shinny garment; take it out, dust it off, put it on, and work it!

Corina – Sequins and beading are not new to parties and special occasions like we just saw

last weekend during the Oscars. However, as I have shared in previous posts sparkles are always fun, mood lifting, and they can be worn any day or anytime. I wear my bling or sequins for special occasions, but I also like to incorporate a little glitter into my daily outfits. Sometimes I wear a sparkly top under a black blazer, metallic/glittery shoes with a neutral outfit, crystal jewelry with a black dress or I add a coat of glitter nail polish to my manicure.

Viejas, there are no rules when it comes to showing off your sparkle except wearing it with confidence!
