Jumpsuits
Ana- Viejas, in earlier posts; I have shared how I transformed a pair of long dresses into a couple of jumpsuits. Those are the only two I have and I love wearing them. Let me tell you what I don't love. I don't love that jumpsuits are still hard to put on and take off, and I don't love that jumpsuits make it hard to go to the bathroom. For this post I have decided to once again shop my closet and see if I could replicate the look of the jumpsuit without the hassle that comes with wearing one. For me, the key to getting the jumpsuit look is to combine a pair of pants with a top that carries most of the same color as the pants. Next, find a way to blend the top and the bottom. In the pictures I use obi belts and a wooden ring I had in my drawer to blend the outfits. Viejas, what do you think?
Corina- I have always loved jumpsuits, overalls, coveralls, dungarees, rompers or any form of one-piece garment. I have worn them for decades in different styles, lengths, fabrics and for all different occasions. I wear them to the beach, to a black-tie event, and anywhere in between.
I love that they are comfortable, easy to style and flattering as they are “roomy” enough to hide a few extra pounds. I still wear jumpsuits although not as often as I used to.
The few I own as you can guess are black. I wear them all year round with a sweater, blazer or shirt on top for work. Sometimes, I also add a t-shirt or mock neck underneath for a more modest look. Viejas, we are never too old to wear a jumpsuit!
