It's not the Location, is the Occasion
Updated: Dec 11, 2022
Ana- Remember when people used to dress up to board a flight? or go to the theater?, or when we used to dress up to go to the office everyday? That was just a couple of years ago.
I don't go to the office everyday anymore. Many of you probably do not have to either. I am no social butterfly; just ask my neighbors who scream every time they see me, as such an appearance is rare.
Now that work is not a consistent driver to put my style on anymore, do I just put it off indefinitely?
NO way! There may be less locations to dress up for but there is always an occasion to 'put my style on'. ME!
Corina- I definitely do remember those days; however, if you ask me, whether dress codes have changed or not, it is always about individual style regardless of location or occasion. I still go to the office every day and even though I am not into big "social events" I do go out with my friends. I am more casual now than I ever was when it comes to dressing. However, I am still respectful of the event, never compromise my style, and always have fun putting myself "together" because at the end of the day: I do it for ME!
Share with us how you 'put your style on' ; for YOU.
Viejas, This is Ana. One of our readers is interested in knowing where I bought the white sweater with knitted color sleeves shown in this post. This sweater is from the brand Free People from Urban Outfitters. They may not have the exact same one; as I bought it some time ago, but they do have cool sweaters. This brand can also be found in many discount stores such as Poshmark, Marshall, and T.J. Maxx.
Totally agree! Look good, feel good!
I read somewhere that women dress for women. I love reading that both of you dress for “Me” ~ Thank you!!!
