Gloves: For Us Winter Only!

Ana- I did not think I would be able to write about an accessory I wear very seldom. The gloves only come on when I am extremely cold or fighting. It must be that Latina temper.

Gloves are the last element of my outfits and I often just forget them all together in the rush to leave the house.

Looking through my gloves I found a pair my mom gave me.

I thought… I can really use these as a starting point for what I am going to wear. Luckily, as I am writing this blog post is only 22 degrees Fahrenheit/ -5 degrees celsius; so this is the perfect stage for wearing my gloves.

I realized a pair of gloves can inspire entire outfits. As in interior design, where one souvenir or heirloom can inspire complete rooms makeovers; one pair of gloves can be the beginning of a look. I laid out my gloves on my bed and started browsing my closet for pieces that would go well with each pair.

Corina- gloves have been a fashionable accessory since the 15th century and have never gone out of style. It is a trend that keeps coming back in new colors, fabrics, patterns, and different lengths. They are as universal as sunglasses and handbags. Gloves can be fun, trendy and an expression of one’s creativity and personality. I wear them for their functionality to keep my hands warm during the winter months. I do not own many pairs of gloves so the ones I have I sport with any outfit when it is really cold. Gloves can, but not necessarily have to match your outfit. You just have to love them!
