Don't Forget the Scarf!

Scarves are definitely one of my (Corina) favorite accessories, especially now, as a vieja. In the last couple of years, I have been looking at myself on video or during FaceTime calls. Sometimes I can hardly focus on whatever it is that is going on. The only thing I can think of is "What in the world is happening to my neck?" This is when I reach for one of my many scarves. I have two bins full of them, mostly given to me by friends. I wonder if they are also trying to send me a "neckssage". I wear them almost year round since I have them in different colors and patterns and in a variety of materials and lengths. Scarves are not only practical but trendy and although I mostly wear mine around my neck (wrapped in different ways), scarves can be worn as shawls, belts, hair pieces, bracelets, shirts or even as bag charms.

How do you wear yours? Post a picture.

My relationship with scarfs (like with hats) is hot and cold. I (Ana) wear a scarf either when is desert hot or fall/winter cold. I also equate scarfs and hats with adventures so I like wearing them when I travel. I do not own many. My favorite ones are a striped- monochromatic one Corina gave to me (I wear that one in another blog) and a white, pink, and purple one; I inherent from my mom when she passed in 2020. Oh, and I do wear scarfs sometimes to tame my unruly hair.

Thanks for inspiring me to go through my scarf box and it is not a small box! My Aunt introduced me to scarves (the small silk squares) years ago but I am more into the big wrap around style now. Scarfs are super popular in Denmark all year round to provide color and interest.
