Ana- Viejas, remember the song from Julie Andrews? Well, I have discovered that shoe insoles, probiotics, and charcoal toothbrushes are.... "a few of my favorite things". I guess doing a blog is distracting; yet, more times than not these days, I am reminded I need lots of help navigating this privileged journey of growing old. I remember staying away from the insole isle at the pharmacy. Now I can't run fast enough to see what new products Dr. Scholl's has come up with.
I remember being an early adopter of the whitening toothpaste in the late nineties. As soon as I got my first compliment at work; I was a obsessed with keeping my teeth as white as naturally possible. I go through a toothbrush every 2-3 weeks. My lower teeth are scrunched up. The result of a poor attempt at braces when I was a teen. Now, I have to scrub extra hard those lower teeth to keep them clean. Thus, my obsession with charcoal toothbrushes. Who can resist a "twofer"!
And...then...there is my favorite probiotic: Activia. This obsession brings me full circle to our blog. For one, the spoke person for Activia was none other than Jamie Lee (a hot vieja). There is no way I can feel good wearing all the things I show up in; week after week, without having my daily probiotic shot. Viejas, be proud of your list of favorite things!
Corina- Every year Oprah https://shop.oprahdaily.com/oprah-fav-things shares a list of her favorite things, which she started because she wanted to share gifts she loved with people. We all have our “faves”. Some we have had for years and others might be newfound favorites as our needs change. In any case, I am sharing some of mine in today's post.

A pair of Cloudfoam Comfort Adidas is at the top of my list. They make your feet feel snug and supported all day long. These sneakers come in different colors, and their classic look and “chunky” shape work with any outfit. I own 3 pairs and have a fourth on the way. In addition to comfort and style, they are environmentally friendly since a percentage of these shoes are made from recycled materials and plastic waste.
Remember the “flight/parachute” pants from the 80s? They are back and I couldn’t be happier. These garments are made of ripstop nylon. They are long lasting, comfortable and best of all “wash and wear". This fall I bought a bright blue “parachute skirt”, which very quickly has become a favorite.
A new must is Bliss vitamin C eye cream. It’s a dark circle reducing and depuffing cream. I have used Bliss products before and really like them. However, this eye cream I just started using a couple of months ago but could swear it works. The skin under my eyes feels more hydrated and to me it looks brighter. Hopefully, it is not just my imagination...
Viejas, please share some of your “FAVES” with us...
